MORE ABOUT ACUPUNCTURE

Now that you have experienced your first treatment, here are a couple of links that can tell you more about what Acupuncture is and what it can treat:

TREATMENT PLAN

It is important that you follow the the treatment plan that was discussed at your appointment so as to be able to reach your goal of healing. Acupuncture and herbs work well for major and minor problems, and also for prevention of illnesses. Return visits run 45 to 60 minutes.
Your treatment frequency and number of treatments needed depend on a variety of factors: your constitution, the severity and duration of the problem and the quality and quantity of your Qi (pronounced "chee"). Chronic conditions usually take longer to resolve than acute ones. Depending on how you are feeling, plan on a minimum of a month to see significant changes.

Using Acupuncture for Prevention of Illness

"Prevention is better than cure" Old African Saying

Most of all the problems that Acupuncture and Chinese medicine treat are preventable. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), most of the time, focuses on using Acupuncture to prevent illness.  At your Acupuncture visit you will spend 45 to 60 minutes, laying on the table. If you are eating well and exercising - (mind and body), then using Acupuncture once a month to once every 3 months, will keep your body in balance.
