Kerry Morton is a practitioner of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed in the state of Oregon.
Two years ago, Kerry started the Doctoral program in Oriental Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. The program specializes in Gynecology and Geriatric Medicine. This past June/July 2014, she traveled to Hangzhou, China, where she observed in the Zhejiang Provincal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She observed herbal medicine in Neurology, Pediatrics, Oncology, and Orthopedics. She also learned Turtle abdominal acupuncture from Dr. Lihua Xuan. She is due to get her Doctorate of Oriental Medicine from OCOM in the fall of 2015.
Kerry practices Tradition Chinese Medicine (TCM) which includes Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Tuina massage, and cupping therapy. She has worked for the past seven years with a chiropractor, first as a licensed Massage Therapist and then as a licensed Acupuncturist mainly treating pain related and musculoskeletal injuries. She has also had success with Chinese Herbal Medicine treating high blood pressure, chronic constipation, among many other conditions.
Kerry is currently certified to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology nationally by the NCCAOM and by the State of Oregon through the Oregon Medical Board.
In her spare time, Kerry likes to spend time with her family including her cats, reading for her doctoral research topic, and going hiking to connect with nature and recharge.
